Tributive Foundation (“Tributive,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) values your trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Tributive mobile application (the “App”) and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information: Name, age, address, email, phone number, payment account details.
Donation Data: Amounts, recipients, frequency, and preferences.
Device & Usage Data: Device identifiers, log data, IP address, cookies, crash reports.
Financial Data: Provided securely via third-party services (e.g., Plaid, Stripe). Stripe is our external payment processor and processes all donor payments. Plaid provides read-only access to transaction data for the purpose of calculating donation triggers. No sensitive banking credentials are collected or stored by Tributive.
2. How We Use Information
Facilitate and process donations to nonprofits.
Provide tax receipts and donation records.
Communicate updates, receipts, and alerts.
Prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve services.
3. Sharing of Information
Vendors: Payment processors (Stripe, Plaid), cloud hosting (AWS), communication providers.
Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or regulatory request.
We do not sell donor data.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Donation records retained per IRS requirements (7 years minimum).
Users may request deletion of personal data not required for legal or financial compliance via the application Delete Account option within Settings.
5. Security
We use industry standards (TLS 1.2+, AES-256) for encryption in transit and at rest. See our Security Policy for more details.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
